Fit-out progress ... eighth instalment (August 2013)

Two visits in August, with the second visit pictures (immediately below) showing good progress with the kitchen and note the side steps being built, and also the surround for the boatman's stove.

Work on the kitchen is the focus of attention, and here are some pictures of the kitchen cupboard doors, each hand-made by Rob, and the beech worktop ...

Fit-out progress ... seventh instalment (July 2013)

There has been lots of progress during the summer months, as the boatman's cabin is finished off, the engine room gets "scumbled and scalloped", and the kitchen starts to take shape ...

Progress continues with the scumbling of the Boatman's cabin ... as at May 2013 ... and look at the wonderful forming which Rob has carried out on the rear hatch.

The fit-out of the boat began in late December 2012 by Rob Bryan at his workshop at Ashby Boats on the Ashby Canal.  Here are some of the images.

The boat has arrived at the workshop, and this picture was taken on New Year's Eve, 2012.
