Fit-out progress ... eleventh instalment (November 2013)

The fit out is getting close to completion, now targeted for pre-Christmas, and the latest visit saw a great deal of progress in trimming and finishing within the boat, as well as on the heating and in the installation of the backcabin and saloon stoves.

Firstly below is an image of the work that's been undertaken in the backcabin, with the detailing around the mouldings just wonderfully done by Marie.  The combinations of the scumbled wood and the red pick-out is stunning.

And below is the view from the backcabin through to the engine room ... again it's a lovely sight!

The backcabin stove is now installed, and Rik Southall has done a fabulous job with beautifully cranked pipe and the restoration of the stove itself is unbelievable when you consider what it was like originally ... see pictures in the other blog entry.  Some pictures below of the outside of the boat, in undercoat of course ...

We will be sleeping underneath the tug deck in the generous space that's there ... see the bed bases that Rob has made ...

And some other miscellaneous images ... including the detailing of the inlays or picture rail that will be fitted to the recessed panels.
