Fit-out progress ... tenth instalment (October 2013)

It was 25 October 2013 and the latest visit sees further progress on the preparation of the shell for painting (the version you see has at least two coats of undercoat, plus plenty of base coats), and lots of good progress internally.

Firstly, here's the bow in undercoat, with a side shot of the boat from the front also.  The boat will be painted in a scheme which is similar to the FMC green and red livery, which I hope will suit the boat well.

In the following photos we see the progress with the kitchen, and the long cupboard at the end of the kitchen has been built, together with the tall cupboard near to the side steps.

And here are the side steps, which have neat storage space included beneath each of the treads.

And here's a photo of the boatman's cabin, with the red edging now picked-out ...

And see below side images of the boat, with the pink undercoat for the red panels, and note the wooden inserts which will be added to the recessed panels (there's great attention to detail with these, in terms of measurement, precise profiling, and bedding them down properly to give them a chance of lasting a few years).

And finally a picture of the front cupboard (one of a pair) which have been built at the front of the saloon ...
